I'm a technology executive with more than 20 years of experience and the sitting CIO of a roughly $70M multi-site company, where I lead IT, security and compliance, development, ecommerce, data, and project management as a member of the executive leadership team.
The common thread across those roles has been taking underinvested technology environments and leaving them stable, secure, and able to support growth.
- Built a formal security and compliance program covering ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 2, and HIPAA from zero to audit-ready in under a year, with zero major nonconformities across six annual audit cycles. Roughly 68% of company revenue is now tied to clients who require that capability.
- Consolidated seven ecommerce platforms into one and cut client-facing ticket resolution from eight business days to under two business hours.
- Delivered productivity gains equivalent to roughly 30 FTE through AI, automation, and process redesign, quantified through activity-level ROI analysis.
- Led technology due diligence and integration across roughly ten acquisitions, including a complete data center relocation executed in a single Saturday.
I started working with OpenAI models before ChatGPT launched publicly, and I've spent the years since learning what produces AI ROI in a real operating business, and where data quality or human expertise makes AI the wrong tool.
The path here
My career began hands-on: systems administration for a state government agency, then progressively senior infrastructure and IT leadership roles at a marketing services provider and a commercial print services provider, and ultimately the CIO seat, where I have led IT strategy, security, and transformation for more than a decade. Coming up through hands-on systems work before the executive team still shapes how I advise.
Along the way I earned a B.B.A. in Management Information Systems from the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business, plus certifications including VMware VCP, Certified ScrumMaster and Scrum Product Owner, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, CCNA, and multiple Microsoft Windows Server credentials. I serve on the board of the Printing & Imaging Association of Georgia, and I'm based in Atlanta, GA.
